According to Roger Federer’s official website, the Swiss star will make every effort to play the Indian Wells event next week.
Today the site posted this statement from Federer. “Dear Fans I am feeling really good again and I was happy to hear from my doctor today that I have the green light to start working out again so I plan to try and play in Indian Wells next week. See you all soon! Roger.”
Just yesterday Peter Bodo of Tennis Magazine posted that he had heard from reliable sources Federer would not play. Of course the use of the phrase “try and play” is still very TBD, but I would expect Federer to show up for the event, even if he wasn’t 100%, especially with the planned Hit for Haiti sequel set up with Pete Sampras, Andre Agassi and Rafael Nadal.
