Del Potro Out for Two Months with Wrist Injury.

February 11, 2010

Guess I should have added Juan Martin Del Potro’s name to my post yesterday about injuries being a big issue already in the season. The BBC just reported that Del Potro injured his wrist in training and will be out perhaps up two months to allow for recovery.

This means Del Potro will miss the Davis Cup tie between Argentina and Sweden next month and I’m willing to bet he won’t be seen at Indian Wells or maybe even Miami. It’s not clear if this is the same wrist/arm injury that Del Potro dealt with in Australia, but it doesn’t bode well for his chances going into the clay court season coming up.
